All winners of design contests are expected to upload Vector images for you to review (usually EPS or AI). These files may require a special program for you to view them. Adobe Reader, Irfan View and Inkscape are free programs that will allow you to view your vector images.
Your designer will usually provide JPEG, GIF or PNG files for you as well. They are not sufficient for printing or modifying the design, but are handy to upload on to the internet. Feel free to ask for any of these files and in black and white if you desire.
A website design requires a layered image in the form of a PSD file or an EPS file. These files provide the most versatility when looking to make changes and revisions.
We recommend checking with your printer about the file formats they require before beginning your contest. Most printers request a 300 dpi (dots per inch) CMYK image in EPS or AI formats.
